I got this for sanding clear coat and I’m so happy I chose this. So simple to use and built wellGreat value works fantastic, and you cannot beat the price!Great purchase for the chore ahead.A great DA for the money just doesn't have that extra cutting power needed for cutting fiberglass. Works great for body fillers, polyester or vinylAir sanders are MUCH MORE aggressive than electric sanders. Put on a 120 grit disc and you're done in minutes. Important note...air sanders use a tremendous amount of compressed air. Don't even bother with a pancake compressor. My 25 gallon compressor runs continuously. The sander will lose power as psi goes down. I plan to invest in a 60 gallon, 220 volt, 2 hp unit shortly. Also, as a professional cabinet and furniture maker, I only use air sanders when I have to do heavy sanding. The disc spins so fast that it will eat through thin hardwood veneer plywood in a matter of seconds. I use my electric random orbit or palm sander when using 220/320 grit paper in preparation for sanding, painting, or varnishing. Just a heads-up.Work very well, Air Shutoff lever is easy to activate while using unit.Perhaps this detail isn't what others are looking at when shopping or a ROS, but its specifically what I was shopping for. I want a 5" hook and loop sander with 3/16" or greater orbital diameter. That is what this was listed as. I have returned the product. Did not use. Probably a fine sander.Thanks! Make sure you order these so you don't spit oil all over your product.I've been using it for a few days now and it surprises me for the cost. At my job we use adhesive back sanding pads and once I realized this had hook and loop (velcro) I was disappointed, but was able to buy another pad for it cheap online and swapped it out for about $12 more, so I'm very happy. It has power and adjusts well with the speed lever on it.Great Orbital, I've used lots of other Brand with three Digits price but this Sander kills all the expenses once. It's very light,fast,not too noisy also it has a great Grabbing pad. You get more for your money when you buy this Sander don't waste your time and money with other sander take my words for it and you won't regret buying this sander...Tried to use it but would stop as soon as it touches the surface to sand ….
