I've been using this for almost a year straight and it is going strong. It's lighter and less clunky than the 900 dollar dewalt sander. Very similair weight to the Makita. It folds in half, has an extension to take it out an extra 18 solid inches and sucks around 90% of the dust. The head does a great job of knocking dust build up out so you can spot any imperfection a lot easier and the LEDs work fantastic. The head also pivots really well 360 degrees. It is a step below the Festool. If you don't want to use the bag it will hook up to a shopvac or the Dewalt HEPA vacuum. But put blue tape at both connections to ensure maximum suction. After using it for this long I have found this is the settings it likes:Midweight - 80 grit/speed 3 or 4Green lid - 180 grit/speed 1 or 2Blue lid - 80 grit/speed 2The carry bag is trash and broke apart within a month. I use a cheap gym bag for it now.Overall, amazing tool at this price. My favorite power sander.I’m a handyman/finish carpenter and I get asked a lot to do drywall patching. I got tired of the sanding by hand or pole sander. The amount of dust I created was crazy and not to mention all the cleanup after. I bit the bullet and purchased this sander after a lot of research. I love the LED lights at the head and I only use the bag that came with it to catch most of the dust. It’s a bit heavy after a while if you have a lot to sand, but I’m very happy with my purchase.Sander works great. Saves hours of hand sanding. Only Issue I have is the hoses won't stay in ports. Easy to fix, I just used a little duct tape. I am sheet rocking an old had. I may only use it his one time, but the time it saves is worth the price. The dust pick up works great if attached to a vacuum. The only significant dust is when the sander plate separates from the flat dry wall surface. Better get back to work. Ken S.I had textured ceilings and I wanted smooth ceilings. I was quoted $4k just for the lower level. I thought I would try to do it myself. I managed to smooth the entire lower level and my son's room upstairs. Pictures are from my son's room that I am remodeling.PROS:-It does what it is supposed to do-PowerfullCONS:-Heavy and difficult to handle-Leaves a lot of dust behind. Attching the hose to a HP vacuum is a must!!!-It can sand the sheetrock if you stay in one spot and too much pressure is used.This drywall sander is one of the best one I ever used. Especially for the price, it has its just amazing. It brings great quality when you are doing your work and makes your work easier and also brings you comfort when you are using it. That backpack that it has for the sand is really helpful. It's just amazing. I really recommend this drywall sander 10 at a 10 for me.Works like it was advertised. Easy to setup and use. The variable speed is nice . The carry bag is just the right size. Only downside is the collection bag wasnt with it when it came. When used with a shop vac it is great, no dust no mess. The lights around the edge make it easy to see the work area.I used it to sand a 480 square ft. , 10ft. high car port ceiling. i got the job done in one hour. I've done drywall plenty of times before with a pole sander. usually end up with dust "compound powder" in your eyes when doing a ceiling. The best part about this "Yattich " sander is that it was fast and I had no dust in my eyes with this sander. I used only the bag and not a vacuum because it was outdoors. You do get dust falling out as you bring it down, but i had expected that. I'm sure a vacuum hooked to it would be great indoors. this thing is nearly 15lbs. so it will be heavy for a small person using it on a ceiling. start on slow and keep it moving so you don't gouge the mud. you can speed it up as you get the hang of it.This worked as advertised so far. In the middle of the job but it has been a real big help. I can’t however figure out how to adjust the sanding pad to get it closer to alignment with the brushes. It comes off by removing 4 Philips head screws but the manual says the center hex head screw is supposed to remove it…that’s not the case. I also don’t see how the guard comes off. I think it’s held on by screws.For the price, it’s well worth saving the old shoulders! I would buy again and recommend it to anyone doing a sizable drywall job.
