1" x 5" Belt Disc Sander - 3600 RPM Dual Sanding Machine for Wood & Metal Working - Perfect for Hobbyists, DIY Projects & Professional Workshops

Build quality not the best. The circular sander side does not align well with the metal shroud. On mine, the right side of the shroud protrudes slightly past the sanding surface which means the right side of the sanding surface does not touch when trying to sand items longer than about 6". When I tried to assemble this, the metal shelf for the circular side would not fit at all despite many attempts. Finally had to use a metal file to grind down one of the nubs to get it positioned. Also, there is no instruction on where/how to mount the dust catcher that hooks to a vacuum. The part is there and there is a tiny ref to it on the parts diagram, but not information on how exactly it attaches. All in all, I'm not super satisfied with this item.The sander assembled well, some few quirks that could have been designed a little better but non the less for the price you have give up something. The biggest item is the tracking of the 1" belt is not designed very well. Ihd to modify platform that the belt goes through. Outside of that, for what I need it for, it will e=work.It is a very practical piece of equipment. The belt is difficult to replace but the side sanding wheel is useful when the occasion comes up. It was a solid buy for the price nothing to complain about.being good does not overheat with prolonged use not the only serious complaint velosidad have a regulator that help a lot to work without burning wood!This little machine is perfect for the garage doityourselfer. I have used it for quite a few projects from sharpening knives and axes, to fine tuning gunsmithing projects. In all of the use I have found no problems with the design or performance. I would definitely recommend this belt and disc sander combo for the budget shop or garage.Works great for metal and wood. Makes the work go much faster. I would recommend this product to my friends. I am glad I purchased it.Pretty flimsy but seems to work OK. For light work, which I bought it for. I'm ok with it but if I were to do it over I would spend a few more bucks and get a higher qualityThe instruction manual is very basic, which I love. So far it has held up vey well. I use this to grind homemade knives and so far have made using this product and I have not one issue. Do be careful with the plastic knobs as mentioned.
