I was leery of these sanding pads when I first examined them. The grit coverage is good but it felt like the paper would crease over if you bent it but I didn’t really have a problem with that after all. I tried these sanding pads out on some very rough and coarse hardwood that I recently acquired. The hook & loop held up well and didn’t separate from the sanding pad. There was some very slight movement on the sander backing pad but nothing unusual. I have encountered quite often that hook & loop sanding pads will almost always move a little on the sander backing pad. It only becomes a problem when the sanding pad moves so much that it exposes the sander backing pad which, then may cause damage to that backing pad by causing it to rub on bare wood/metal that is being sanded destroying the hook & loop on that pad.The grit on the paper also held up well and didn’t experience a great deal of clogging. I was able to quickly clean off the sanding pad with a sandpaper eraser. These sanding pads held up better than I initially thought they would. They did a very nice job of sanding down this rough lumber without wearing out too fast or coming apart.
